Diamond buffer

Description

Diamond buffer based on famous topology known as “Marantz HDAM SA-3” redesigned by MuzgAUDIO to achieve best parameters from circuit. Our diamond buffer is build from same components that our operational amplifiers to offer lowest noise level and output offset that is possible. Double, matched transistors assure same thermal parameters for main part of the buffer and that help to achieve offset level as low as 0,1mV after manual trimming. Additionally build in trimmer could be used to trim offset in circuit.

Diamond buffer can be used in many ways:

• as buffer to match impedance between signal stages
• as buffer to reduce output impedance of circuit
• as input circuit for current feedback amplifier

• output impedance: 12R
• THD: 0,02% @2Vp to 10k load
• quiescent current: 4mA @+/-15V
• offset 0,1mV manually trimmed

• max output level: 13Vp @+/-15V

Thanks to fact, that output transistors collectors are separated from power supply lines diamond buffer can be used as well as input section of current feedback amplifier.
